What a declaration is

Data safety (Google Play) and App Privacy (App Store) are declarations: the developer fills them in and the store prints them. They are not an audit by the store; Google's page says in so many words that “the developer provided this information and may update it over time”.

FxPro cTrader — Google Play

Developer: FXPRO GROUP LIMITED. The Data safety summary has 4 lines: “This app may share these data types with third parties” followed by “Personal info and Device or other IDs”; “This app may collect these data types” followed by “Personal info, App info and performance, and Device or other IDs”; “Data is encrypted in transit”; “You can request that data be deleted”. The page links the developer's privacy policy on fxpro.com.

FxPro cTrader — App Store

Provider: FxPro Group Limited. The App Privacy label has 1 group: “Data Not Linked to You” with 3 categories (Contact Info, Identifiers, Diagnostics).

cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts — Google Play

Developer: Spotware. The page links the developer's privacy policy on spotware.com.

cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts — App Store

Provider: cTrader Ltd. The App Privacy label has 1 group: “Data Not Linked to You” with 3 categories (Contact Info, Identifiers, Diagnostics).

Reading a declaration

Declarations from two stores are in two formats and cannot be matched line by line; where a line has no counterpart the grid shows a dash.

Where two rows differ, the table shows both and the text does not weigh them. They are different pages read on the same day.

What they do not contain

Nothing in a declaration says how long data is kept or who the account's legal entity is. Those questions belong to the privacy policy and the account documents, which this site did not read.

What this page does not cover

Only one family of facts is read here; Cost lines, Identity, Versions and Ratings have their own pages. The ledger also leaves out anything behind a login: identity checks, funding screens and the order ticket.

Reader questions

Before you tap install

Does the store check these declarations?

The Google Play page says the developer provided them; the App Store label says the developer indicated them.

What does “linked to you” mean?

The App Store wording: the data may be collected and linked to your identity.

Where is the privacy policy?

Each page links to the developer's policy; this site did not read it.

The trading account

A store page is not a transfer

What these pages read is the store's side: the listing. Opening a live account is a separate step with the broker, with identity checks and rules about sending money abroad that sit outside any app. Read the broker page before you decide, and do not trade with money you cannot afford to lose.
